- Project Scale: Phase 1 includes 1 runway, 1 passenger terminal, and synchronized auxiliary facilities.
- Total Investment: Approximately $4.6 Billion USD (over 110,000 billion VND) for Phase 1.
- Design Capacity: 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year.
- Technical Standards: Compliant with ICAO standards (Category 4F – the highest), international IEC and BS standards, and specialized electrical safety regulations for aviation infrastructure.
Key Milestones
- Groundbreaking: January 2021 (Land clearance) and August 2023 (Passenger terminal).
- Projected Completion: Currently under peak construction, with operations expected to begin in 2026.
